2024 Movie Ranking (Early July)
Seen some … let me short-review some 🙂 ans then list them neatly.
NIGHT SWIM: I am not much into horror anymore, but this one is really well executed. The story is not that stretched, but there is nothing cheap nor easy here.
ATLAS: actually a lovely popcorn movie.
HIT MAN: surprisingly fun romcom.
BOB MARLEY ONE LOVE: adore the vibe and music. Loving the performance and the history trip. LOVE THE MESSAGE. I feel this movie should have been 2 hours longer though, for some solid indepth into Rastafari and all that Bob Marley represented.
TRIGGER WARNING: liked the bad-ass Alba a lot, but the story was filled with too much holes. And that bugged me too much. Sure there are bad guys but if even bad ánd good guys just stop thinking clearly, it feels just out of character and the flow is gone.
IF: I was thinking this would be more of a Ryan-movie, but he is only a sidedish to the main feat, being Cailey Presley Fleming. She just is amazing. She stood out in The Walking Dead but here… very nicely done. (even though her playing a 12-year-old felt ridiculous)
DESPICABLE ME 4: went here with my wife, for our 24th wedding anniversary. And it just delivers… it hits all the checkboxes. Fun, insane, lovely, laughter, action!!!
