02024 Movie Ranking so far (August)
Seen some … let me short-review some 🙂 ans then list them neatly.
DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE: just the best. This is fun! So many cameo’s and so much jokes and action and sooooo many fun!!
BAD BOYS: RIDE OR DIE: well… if you can set aside your dislike to Will SLap-SMith, then this is just one thrilling action movie. It has got all the stuff you want, flying bullets, racing cars, funny bro-love moments and much more. Just really fun!
TWISTERS: it actually kinda feels like the 1996-version. Almost the same story perhaps, but… differnt enough to really be fun. And I would rewatch this many many times!!
CHIEF OF STATION: I do like Aaron Eckhart movies. They are well-written and solid executed. It just… this one is fun till the last part and then it just is not “there”anymore. I did not feel it enough. Eckhart needs better writers, cause that would make him the next LIam Neeson or Bruce Willis, for real.
THE INSTIGATORS: the awkwardness of the characters is just invigarating! It really is just an “awkward” movie from beginning to end, and feels almost like an american variant to Monty Python group, in the way they use such a non-laughter humor to bring across odd situations.
THE UNION: Marky Mark and Halle Barry…. and it works! Even though the odd-ball remarks of Wahlberg really sets the tone of the movie, the connection is real. And Barry knows her stuff… she can act, and do action and do fun moments and un-fun moments and all. And the story is filled with lovely twists from beginning to end, really. The only thng I found terrible underwhelming, was the Mike Colter character. Colter was just amazing in “Luke Cage” but here just felt like fodder.
