2024 Movie Ranking so far (sep 2024)
Seen some … let me short-review some 🙂 ans then list them neatly.
TRAP: a serial killer is being trapped. The premise is easy, but the way the serial keeps evading authorities, handled adversities and all the while being a loveable dad-figure… soundly done. Good movie, from beginning to end
THE CROW 2024: tried to watch this just based on premise and actors and such. Not trying to think about the best of all time being the Brandon Lee- version. Sadly even on its own merit, this is shitshow with little to no fun to be had. Skip this. I beg you.
REBEL RIDGE: well… bit Rambo and Jack Reacher, mix it up with Shaft and you got one fine new franchise. I am hooked on this one. The lovely brooding acting from Pierre and one of the best roles for Don Johnson, really. It was intense, felt real, no bragging yet delivering. Highly recommended.
JACKPOT: Cena and Awkwafina. It is supposed to rhyme cause they are golden together… especially in this wacky action-movie with loads of comedy relief! Cena is on his best and Awkwafina just is Awkwafina so it seems!! The odd-ball story makes no sense whatsoever and just fuels the comedic talents of Cena-Fina!
THE KILLER’S GAME: Bautista at what he does best, really. Actionhero-ing. Entertaining for sure. And lovely goofball-assassin’s on his @ss… this movie feels like a remake though. But lovely nevertheless
