Action Lab get’s Miraculous with Ladybug and Cat Noir

MiraculousAction Lab Entertainment announced today they have partnered with ZAG to develop comic books and graphic novels for North America based on the pan-regional hit, 3D CGI animated TV series, Miraculous™: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. The animated series is currently airing in the USA on Nickelodeon and on Disney Channel throughout UK and EMEA. First introduction of the ALE ZAG Heroez – Miraculous comic book series is planned for July 21st in conjunction with San Diego Comic Con.

“Action Lab Entertainment has demonstrated a commitment toward great quality comic books designed specifically for kids and around the empowerment theme. Based on this and ALE’s pure passion for “Miraculous,” we are thrilled to be expanding our storytelling via this natural extension into comic books.” Said ZAG CEO, Jeremy Zag.

“We are delighted to partner with the Miraculous team at ZAG. Their skills of developing superior quality animation with engaging stories that girls and boys can both identify with globally is unparalleled. Kids and young adult fans already love Miraculous and can relive the fun, action packed stories through ALE’s comics and graphic novels. Retailers are already clamoring for the release” said Bryan Seaton CEO and Publisher of Action Lab.

The deal was brokered by Carlin West of CWA Carlin West Agency LLC.

The animated TV series produced by ZAG, in conjunction with Method Animation, Toei Animation, and SAMG, is an action, adventure, comedy series that tells the story of Marinette, the sweetest girl in Paris. With a big crush on a boy at school, a big dream of becoming a fashion designer, and a constant problem of feeling totally awkward, she’s just your average teenage girl, right? Did we mention she’s also the crime fighting superhero of Paris, Ladybug?

Becoming Ladybug is a complicated process! First, Marinette needs a “Kwami,” which is a tiny magical assistant (hers is named Tikki). She also needs a “Miraculous,” which is a magical accessory (hers is a pair of earrings). Tikki uses the Miraculous to transform Marinette, but her Ladybug super powers only work for a limited time!
Itis a good thing that she gets a little help from her superhero partner, Cat Noir… but she insists she doesn’t need him. If only she knew Cat Noir’s true identity – her crush, Adrien! Will Ladybug and Cat Noir be able to balance their double lives and keep Paris safe? Will they ever find out each other’s true identity? Until then – there’s a whole city of baddies to defeat… SPOTS ON, CLAWS OUT!
