Actors from Star Wars The Last Jedi at Echo Base Charity Con on December 16 in Kinepolis
In the passed few years the month of December has been dominated by Star Wars in the cinema and this year is not different with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. In the Netherlands this will be celebrated on 16 December at Echo Base Charity Con at Kinepolis Jaarbeurs Utrecht, a 100% Star Wars event where several Star Wars cast members from the old and new films are present.
Actors Jeremy Bulloch (cult hero Boba Fett), Michael Carter (Bib Fortuna) and Richard Oldfield (Hobbie) represent the original films from the 80s, and guests like Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar) and Brian Herring (BB-8) can be seen in The Last Jedi, the new Star Wars film that can be seen in Dutch cinemas from 13 December. Also special is the presence of Justin van der Lek, a Star Wars fan from Nieuwegein who left for America in 2006 to pursue a career in visual effects. In the meantime he has realized his dream and worked on The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens, for which he received the prestigious VES Award.
Star Wars-Walhalla for young and old
Echo Base Charity Con is a true Star Wars Walhalla for young and old. There is a lot of different merchandise for sale, there is an auction for UNICEF, there are special screenings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, there will be many cosplayers and fans can meet various Star Wars actors with which signing sessions and Q & A’s are organized. Young people are also in their focus: children can learn to fight with a lightsaber, make a Star Wars-LEGO building, play Star Wars games and be painted as their favorite Star Wars figure. This makes Echo Base Charity Con not only a fantastic event for Star Wars enthusiasts, but it is also suitable for the whole family. The event has a special purpose: the net proceeds of Echo Base Charity Con will be donated to UNICEF for children worldwide, in cooperation with Star Wars: Force for Change.

On Saturday, December 16, Kinepolis Jaarbeurs Utrecht will be transformed into a walhalla for Star Wars enthusiasts.
