0Al Rio lives again through EXPOSURE: TOP SECRET
In this new Exposure-title EXPOSURE: TOP SECRET comic book is the first new EXPOSURE comic book to appear in more than 20 years. Exposure is a title that Al Rio together with David Campiti set out to create and it has been a fan-favorite throughout!
As is fitting for a supernatural story, the late, great Al Rio (also known for Gen 13, DV8, New Mutants, Purgatori and X-Men) returns to host his sexiest original creations with a thrilling tale of tumultuous terror!
Years ago, EXPOSURE Volume 1 came to Kickstarter after a rollicking run of issues originally drawn by Al Rio for Image comics. Series writer David Campiti joined artist Jinky Coronado for a second series of EXPOSURE stories, which climbed to even greater sales success here on Kickstarter as Volume 2.
Everyone thought that was the entire saga. But it wasn’t. EXPOSURE: TOP SECRET stories had been hidden away from public scrutiny and prying eyes — until now.
The first fabulous feature, “TOP SECRET“, is a sordid story of an extraterrestrial plot to extort information from lovely Lisa Shannon about ParaTech Research’s origins and their plans to thwart the impending invasion.
Our second terrific tale, “WIZARDS OF THE WEB,” is drawn by Al Rio and Wilson Tortosa. Wilson, of course, is best known for his many My Hero Academia gaming cards and for such great comics as Wolverine: Manga, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, City of Heroes, and Battle of the Planets!
This rare tale only appeared in an unapproved bootleg publication. It’s brought to you anew in 2023 — enhanced and recolored by Michael Kelleher.
EXPOSURE is the brainchild of writer David Campiti (most recently co-writer of STAN LEE’S HOW TO DRAW COMICS and THE MARVEL ART OF MIKE DEODATO) and artist Al Rio (known not only for hundreds of comics but for his massive online following of sexy babe illustrations that sometimes sell for thousands of dollars). A canny cross between Fringe and Charlies’s Angels — or is it X-Files and She-Spies? — the stories are fun, funny, intriguing, saucy and sexy. If you enjoy clever stories of the supernatural, and artwork in the tradition of classic cheesecake and contemporary artists of J. Scott Campbell and Jim Lee, this book will appeal to you big-time!
