BDI Heads to Phoenix
Press Release
Attention Southwesterners! Big Dog Ink will be at Phoenix Comic Con May 23-26. Stop by booth 640/642 to meet some of our amazing creators and pick up some great Big Dog swag.
Check out this amazing Phoenix exclusive version of The Legend of Oz: The Wicked West #8! This gorgeous art is by Mike DeBalfo and Nei Ruffino, and it’s likely to sell out. Be sure to stop by our booth to snag a copy!
What about the guests, you want to know? Well, since you asked so nicely…
Island Tales creator/writer Stephen Smirl will be at the BDI booth! If you like modern interpretations of classic fairy tales, you’re going to love Stephen’s series of Island Tales comic books adapting Hawaiian and Polynesian myths, folklore and more! Stephen will have a ton of books available to sign, and maybe might even tell you about how soon you can get a hold of this great series at a local comic book store near you!
Artist C.B. Zane will be signing and appearing exclusively at the Big Dog Ink booth all weekend long! C.B. is the artist for our new Critter spin-off miniseries, The In Crowd and we’re thrilled to have him joining us for the weekend!
None other than the Big Dog himself, Tom Hutchison, will be representing us this weekend! One of the most hands on, accessible creators in comics today, Tom is the ringleader of our merry band of finger-painting, comic book-making rebels for the entire weekend. Be sure to stop by and say hi!
Arizona local Wayne Gardiner will be joining the party, and he’s bringing Knightingail with him! This will also be fans’ first chance to pick up issue #1 of Knightingail: Shadow Divisions as an amazing Phoenix Comicon exclusive! Talk about a treat for our Phoenix fans!!
Speaking of cool people from Arizona, we’ll also have Ian Snyder, THE man behind BDI’s wildly successful Ursa Minor, doing sketches and signings for fans exclusively at our booth!
Artist Owen Gieni will also be signing and sketching exclusively at the BDI booth all weekend long. This is a rare appearance for Owen, so show him a warm Big Dog welcome by stopping in and saying hey!
And be sure to stay tuned, here and on our Facebook page, for more announcements!
