High Impact Comics – About Us


In 1995 High Impact Comics was created by a few young guys in Miami Florida. With only a dream to draw and one day publish their own Comic Books Ricky Carralero and a few friends decided to follow on this dream and after sleepless nights and rollercoaster ups and downs High Impact Comics was finally able to stand by the meaning of its company name and created an IMPACT in the Comic book industry with the release of their number one tittle DOUBLE IMPACT aka CHINA AND JAZZ sporting a WOW ‘ I must have that CHROMIUM COVER $50,000 Dollars worth!
Selling out on more than 50.000 copies record braking as a Comic book independent no one had heard off High Impact Comics and Ricky Carralero had kicked down the walls of the Comic book industry and they where here to stay.

In 1996, Carralero launched his formal art career with the illustrated series, Double Impact, which exploded onto the comic book scene with its strong, sexy lead characters and thought provoking subject matter.

In 1996 ‘Double Impact’ received the gold award for “Excellence in Craftsmanship.”

In 1997 ‘Double Impact’ releases the sexy and popular ‘Double Impact’, China and Jazz action figures. Toys r’ Us refuses to carry the femme fetal’s due to their provocative outfits and voluptuous figures only to make more hip and trendy units of China and Jazz, 80,000 units sell out and Double Impact Toys are blasted on every cover of Toy and Hobby magazine. Still today a HOT collector toys all over Google, Ebay, Amazon and more.
In 1998 ‘Double Impact’ becomes Top 10 most popular comics in the Wizard’s Comic Book Guide. (The bible in the comic book Industry).
