Exposure On TV
Red Giant Entertainment announced that producer Kevin VanHook has been attached to develop the Red Giant comic book EXPOSURE for television.
VanHook is an 18-year veteran of television and film as a producer, director, writer, editor, and visual effects artist, with recent credits including OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, I AM NUMBER FOUR, NBC’s LAW & ORDER: SVU, TNT’s RIZZOLI & ISLES, and The CW’s VAMPIRE DIARIES.
Created by Red Giant COO David Campiti, EXPOSURE follows the supernatural adventures of Lisa, a psychic forensics expert, and Shawna, a former cop. They team up to fight ghosts, aliens, and other hidden threats the world doesn’t believe exist… and they look stunning while doing it! Described as a cross between X-FILES and CHARLIE’S ANGELS, the EXPOSURE comic book series has recently been a Top 10 hit on digital distribution platforms, with the graphic novel primed to hit bookstores this upcoming holiday season. An all-new EXPOSURE story arc called “Blind Faith” is currently being serialized as a webcomic on Keenspot.com.
VanHook will be developing the EXPOSURE adaptation in association with the filmed entertainment division of Red Giant Entertainment, Glass House Graphics, and Cutting Edge Productions, which together produced Red Giant’s upcoming animated feature JOURNEY TO MAGIKA, for worldwide distribution by Red Giant Entertainment.

And considering Kevin got his start working on XENA, he may be the perfect man for the job!”
“It will be great fun working with David to bring EXPOSURE to television,” stated VanHook. “The variety of supernatural creatures we’ll be able to bring to life each week as threats for Lisa and Shawna to deal with is one of the things that drew me to the project. As a Visual Effects creator, the potential to do something people haven’t seen before is particularly exciting.”
In addition to producing, VanHook has written and directed five films, including Syfy’s THE FALLEN ONES starring Casper Van Dien (STARSHIP TROOPERS). For Syfy he also wrote and produced SANDS OF OBLIVION, which reunited FIREFLY/SERENITY stars Adam Baldwin and Morena Baccarin.
