MCM London to host international cosplayer Ivy Doomkitty

MCM London Comic Con is to welcome US cosplayer, model, gamer and artist Ivy Doomkitty to MCM London Comic Con next month, where she’ll be meeting fans throughout the three-day show.

Based in Los Angeles, Ivy has been attending conventions for over 14 years, but it’s the last five that have seen her gain international recognition as a cosplayer. A cast member of IGN’s Hero Makeover, guest judge on Syfy series Heroes of Cosplayand cover model for Cosplay Culture magazine, Ivy is a popular presence on the comic con scene – participating in panels, hosting costume contests and podcasting regularly via gaming channel Videogame Bang Podcast.

Ivy is also well known for championing the cause of body acceptance and ‘cospositivity’ in the cosplay community, making it her mission to show people that they can take part in the hobby they love regardless of gender, skin colour, sexual orientation, body shape, size or age.
