Modern Dread – A Horror Anthology About the Anxieties of Today

MODERN DREAD, a new horror anthology about the fears of today, has launched on Kickstarter from Space Between Entertainment.

MODERN DREAD is a 72-page black and white graphic novel of horror stories that explore what scares people now. With a mixture of timeless fears and modern anxieties, these stories pay homage to the horror of the past while paving way for a new, terrifying path. Topics include:

  • Infected tattoos
  • Designer drugs with horrific side effects
  • Online harassment
  • Deranged Uber drivers
  • Losing a child
  • And that ever-present fear that bridges both young and old… the fear of death

Co-plotted and compiled by PAT SHAND (Destiny NY, Guardians of the Galaxy, Van Helsing) and RYAN FASSETT (Steampunk Alice in Wonderland), MODERN DREAD features stories from LaTOYA MORGAN (Shameless, Parenthood, AMC’S Turn), LARRY WATTS (Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness), KATY REX (Jade Street Protection Services), CHANDRA FREE (God Machine, Fraggle Rock), JOHN BROGLIA (Zombie Sama), and more. In addition to the terrifying graphic novel, Space Between is offering a monstrous card game called KILL YOUR FRIENDS, featuring cards that present a situation with a monster, in which you have a chance to survive or die. Art prints, pins, a variant cover by Romina Moranelli, and a chilling MP3 original score is also available.
