Welcome to the world of PBOW!
Plucked from the time-stream by mad scientist Nikola Tesla, six pregnant women accidentally kill a young Hitler — and unleash a nightmare future! Now hunted by the Exalted Father, and with Tesla acting as Charlie to their Angels, they must save the world from a hell of their own creation… before their water breaks!
In other words: it’s The Handmaid’s Tale meets Kill Bill.
Our first volume kicked off in 2013 and quickly became a cult hit, selling through our website (friedcomics.com), comiXology, and Amazon. A crazy mix of horror, sci-fi, grindhouse, and dark humor, it was a roller-coaster ride exploring a dark future where six pregnant women squared off against… well, Dad. Readers and critics loved it!
Even after the success of RED XMAS, our perennial (and much imitated) holiday comic, PREGNANT BITCHES OF WAR is still the comic we’re asked about the most. And after successfully funding and fulfilling a campaign for the Volume One Trade a few years back, we became determined to continue the story.
We’ve structured the new arc to be VERY new-reader friendly. But the PDF of volume one will be available at a great price for the completist, and backers who love physical rewards can snag a print copy as well.
The new series picks up right where the last one ended, kicking off a brand-new 4-issue mini that we think is our best series yet.
The ladies are on the run from the Exalted Father, Tesla’s android body has been destroyed, and now they are headed to Africa in search of Thomas Edison–the one man they believe can put Tesla back together and help them get home. But they didn’t count on meeting the Anti-Bitches, or Gustave the dick-eating alligator, or… well, no spoilers.
This time out, the incredible art team of Fabio Ramacci (RED XMAS) and Ilaria Chiocca joins co-writers Clay Adams and Alexandre O. Philippe (RED XMAS, DEADSKINS!) to bring this story to life. The world of PBOW has never looked better.
And if you thought volume one was nuts… you ain’t seen nothing yet.
