(re)ASSIGNMENT Showcases the comic from the movie with Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez

reassignment-cover-a-jefTitan Comics are expanding their Hard Case Crime comics imprint in January 2017 with the next title in the critically acclaimed line, crime noir thriller (re)ASSIGNMENT.

Published for the first time in English, Hard Case Crime’s (re)ASSIGNMENT will bring Walter Hill (director of The Warriors), Matz and Jef’s comic book that inspired the upcoming Neo-Noir movie – starring Michelle Rodriguez (Fast & Furious) and Sigourney Weaver (Aliens) – to comic stores in 2017.

Described by The Hollywood Reporter as “an instant cult item,” Walter Hill’s (re)ASSIGNMENT movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this year and is already one of the most talked about films of the year.

The story takes a savage turn when the victim’s sister, a sociopathic surgeon, decides to punish Frank in a unique way. Abducted and operated on against his will, Frank Kitchen awakens in an altered condition – but still with a hitman’s hunger for revenge…

Director Walter Hill says, “I’m looking forward to working with Titan Comics on (re)ASSIGNMENT – I believe we’re already off to a fine start with Triggerman. And I’m certainly pleased the story will be coming to an English speaking audience.”

Hard Case Crime is the leading publisher of hardboiled crime novels, publishing the giants in the genre: Stephen King, Michael Crichton, Lawrence Block, Mickey Spillane, Ed McBain, Donald E. Westlake, James M. Cain and Max Allan Collins, whose best-selling Quarry series was adapted for TV by Cinemax in September to rave reviews.

(re)ASSIGNMENT #1 hits comic stores in January 2017, and is available to pre-order from the November edition of Diamond PREVIEWS.
