Reviewing this book feels impossible due to the myriad of artists, genres and writers involved so I have to tell you about my own experience.
As with all the anthologies out there, you have to experience all of the stories and then decide which one is for you and which one is just plainly not. For me the highlight was the 33-pager ‘Tales of Old Fennario’ which led me back to the Creepy and Eerie or the Marvel Epic feel storywise. The art was black&white, lush and it had this mixture of almost-fantasy mixed with a form of mysticism and plain old crime-noir. Artist Sandy Plunkett surprised me immensely!
The other stories shine as well with their own momentum, from old-skool scifi with Jack Kirby to something totally off but THAT more interesting about Lesbian Nude Colonists. Some stuff is outrageous and others are downright hit-miss but the overall feeling is that this giant A1 Annual Anthology HC book is more then worth the 23 bucks!
Step in and choose your favorite artist/writer/creator and just dive in head first and do let me know what you thought of it!!
