Review: Elric Vol.2 The Sailor On The Seas Of Fate
This second hardcover volume in the Michael Moorcock Library, reprinting the Moorcock legacy in the finest means possible, courtesy Titan Comics. To read the further stories of Elric of Melniboné as it is meant to be, proud and in hardcover!
The Sailor on The Seas of Fate chronicles Elric’s adventures across a supernatural sea where the lines between time and reality blur, Eternal Champions abound, and otherworldly foes threaten very fabric of the universe! This hardcover contains the 1980s adaptation by Roy Thomas, Michael T. Gilbert, and P. Craig Russell.
Elric has left his home to travel the world in which he embarks on a space/time travelling ship with which Elric and his new companions will fight a growing entity that will ultimately destroy all life on all levels of existence. A battle ensues on various dimensional planes and Elric’s sword will devour more souls then Elric is content with.
After this battle is over, a trans-dimensional lovestory straight out of the history books of Melniboné will make Elric rethink his approach of mankind. End to end the book will be a gruesome tale on a fearsome island.
Bottom line? This collection is essential in any sword&sorcery epic fantasy collection fan!
