Review: GFT Presents Robyn Hood 2015 Holiday Special
The story starts with Robyn seeking refuge from ex-cabal members during the holidays. Then we flashback to a year earlier. Timothy Ott ran a homeless shelter for young kids and was put out on the streets on Christmas Eve by Gusman Corp, now he’s seeking revenge and tries to enlist the help of our hero.
A nice little holiday tale intending to tug at the heart strings of the reader. Its central message deals with taking vengeance into your own hands. Robyn offers to help but not in the way Ott wants. Ott, who is understandably upset goes after Gusman himself and with supernatural help.
All in all this was a very enjoyable read. The art is top notch and the story line flows along with ease. It’s not a classic Christmas story and its themes have been explored many times before but it will make the reader stop and think about how we deal with unpleasant situations. Revenge is not something that should be taken lightly and people should think before they act and make sure they get all their facts right before doing something they may regret.
This comic will make a great edition to anyone´s collection of holiday stories and I highly recommend it.
