Review: Harley Quinn TPB #1 Hot In The City

harleyTPB1Shortest review ever I think!

There has been much talk about Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner making a new start with Harley… and they are all true! Harley is new, fresh and exciting in her newest adventures. No other then Jimmy and Amanda could have made this character one that I would love so very much.

The art by Chad Hardin (and the incredible colors by Alex Sinclair) just make it work on every level! The chaotic, the sexy, the cute, the mayhem, the gore, the amazing tiny details…

Harley is imperfect, lovable, gullible, sexy and psychotic and the art-team made her stand on her very own. Sod off Joker, and leave this cutey-pie alone.

Only thing I can think off that I really need to see at one time is a true romance between Harley and Ivy.

Other then that, this collection is perfect in every aspect!

So FUCK it with a long and lengthy review: just go out and get this!

(PS Jimmy and Amanda? I love you !!! )

(W) Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti
(A) Amanda Conner & Various (Mainly Chad Hardin, but also Jim Lee, Adam Hughes, Stéphane Roux, Darwyn Cook eo)
(CA) Amanda Conner

The sensational series that gave Harley Quinn her own New 52 spotlight is collected from the star-studded #0 issue to issue #8!

Don’t miss Harley’s big move to Coney Island as she becomes a roller derby queen – all while she carries on in her criminal career!

About the Author

Richard is the driving force behind Comics for Sinners. His love and admiration for female comic book characters is virtually unparalleled, which immediately explains his biggest 'sin': his Hot Mummy fetish. This sketchbook theme is philogynistic in nature and even the source of his WIP comic book series "The Sisterhood".
