Review: Lady Rawhide #1
When looking at the cover to this new third series since Bob McGregor came up with this sexy female spin-off to Zorro, I was terrified that the interiors were not even a match. We are talking about Joseph Michael Linsner here, for f%$_#$ sake!!
But since JML is not doing interiors all is left but utter disappointed… or is there?!
The story is filled with ample moments in which the right artist can turn the tide. Lady Rawhide is jumping around, running around, doing acrobatics and making the local yet corrupt law-men and the artist made sure every ‘asset’ is well-drawn and provided for. Artist Milton Estevam is also strongly responsible for visualizing the less pinup-moments and the more story-focused elements, and that deserves mention.
Writer Eric Trautmann is turning this third trimester of the Lady into one interesting read, where not only the ongoing chase of Lady by them lawmen, but the new elements make this even more memorable. The addition of a new gang of female robbers is something that makes sense to have it connected with Lady Rawhide and I am anxious to see this into the next issue.
