Review: Sex Tape

sex-tape1To tape your own personal sexcapades? Alwats a bad idea since nothing but trouble can come of it. In older analog-minded movies like Trainspotting it might be worth the watch, but in the modern digital age you can’t really make it worth the while. Or can it?

Cameron Diaz and Jason Siegel play a married couple that used to have this insane steamy sexlife, but growing up and getting busy careers and kids make for a busy life. To get the sex back on track, they decide to do the complete Kama Sutra and of course, they are dumb enough to tape it.

They do have a great time doing all the things the Great Book tells them to do, but the real nightmare begins when the video starts syncing with all the tablets hubby handed out to family members, friends and the postman, thanks to a handy App hubby developed to share his amazing playlists (boring!!).

Instead of the obvious and delete the footage from the Cloud (instant mass-delete), the couple get on a crazy roadtrip to get all the tablets back and delete the file per tablet.

Adding also a little juvenile blackmail and the movie really puts on the snooze for the viewers.

sextapeC4S Verdict: The only reason the movie has any momentum at all would be the great oversexed intro as well as the crazy character done by Rob Lowe. Also the images of Diaz in her nipple-shirt is worth mentioning! Other then that… move along!

Regie: Jake Kasdan | Cast: Cameron Diaz (Annie), Jason Segel (Jay), Rob Corddry (Robby), Rob Lowe (Hank), Ellie Kemper (Tess), e.a.| Length: 1560minuten | Jaar: 2014

Thanks to Sony Pictures for the review copy.
