0Review: Van Helsing V Robyn Hood #2
Robyn and Liesel were both working on the same assignment: tracking a lethal crime boss who has been experimenting on human beings with a new designer drug. But the two friends now find themselves in fatal battle…with each other!
Zenescope’s usual impressive team delivers the goods once again as our heroines find themselves in a dire predicament that will require nothing less than a miracle for them to get out of. Robyn finds herself as a vampire and Van Helsing does not want to harm her friend but yet has to defend herself against the danger. The writers bring one of their most iconic characters to the brink of transformation. It’s an intense read and great stuff!
Allan Otero does his usual excellent job in rendering the characters and the highlight, of course, is when Robyn turns into the vampire. She is utterly evil, and we genuinely wonder if she’ll ever be normal again. The splash where she’s baring her fangs and standing over her victims is enough to send chills down one’s spine.
In Conclusion:
This chapter shows an almost completely transformed Robyn Hood even as our heroes desperately seek a cure for the vampire’s bite. It’s a race against time as they seek to find our heroic archer before she… to be continued. *** (8.4 rating)
