Review: Wanted/Salt Double Feature DVD Pack

Sony has issued a great move in presenting a double bill of thrillers starring Angelina Jolie.

In ‘Salt‘ (2010) Jolie stars as Evelyn Salt, an ex-CIA officer whose loyalty is put to the test when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. In an attempt to evade capture for long enough to gather the evidence she needs to clear her name. Salt goes on the run, using all the tricks of her trade as a covert operative to stay off the radar of the CIA counter-intelligence officers sent to track her down.

wanted-saltJolie is perfectly suited to both give eyecandy but at the same time make sure that the action is the best the entertainment industry is able to dish out to suspecting viewers of the genre.

The high-octane level of this romp is doing 160 from beginning to end and not letting anything come between you and ‘instant satisfaction’.

Wanted‘ (2008) follows the anxious, clumsy and abused office clerk Wesley Allan Gibson who has boring routine life: his boss humiliates him publicly and repeatedly and his girlfriend betrays him with his colleague and best friend during working period. When sexy Fox comes into his life, Fox informs him that his father was a professional killer belonging to an ancient organization called Fraternity and killed by the skilled and powerful Cross. Wesley joins the society and is trained by Fox, and due to this step he changes his personality and attitude, being prepared to face the dangerous Cross and discover a hidden secret.

The amazing ability of bending the trajectory of a bullet, to go around corners even, is the most amazing treat of this movie, next to the sultry that is Angelina Jolie of course.

The stunts and SFX are amazing and ‘getting into a car’ never was this stunning.

This movie is as amazing as the comic it was based on, although the many differences make this movie a completely different adventure on itself. Mark Millar created this amazing comic, which was over the top and pretty darn brutal, but the movie took the awesome of that and added even more spice.

C4S verdict: This 2-movie-pack makes it worth my while to watch both and enjoy both! The fact that both movies star Jolie is a personal favorite of mine and each and every one of her movies are worth my time!

Thanks to Sony Pictures for the review copy.
