Review:Killdarlings OGN

killdarlings_cvrTo state that Dan Schaffer is pushing the envelope, might be an understatement. Setting the tone with setting up a very solid and personal disclaimer is the first act of Schaffer with his new (finally!!!) book and it truly is like that neighboorhood-dog pissing on your lawn, staining it beyond recognition and making sure no other dog, cretin or feline will ever come near your house… I am sidetracked already! Goes to show that just setting up a disclaimer like this, and then ushering out this nasty, ridiculous, humoristic, creative, insane, bloody&gore, sexy&sweet, over-the-top story makes for one hell of a trip. A mind-fuck I might add!

Schaffer is like the Quentin Tarantino of comics. He makes a statement not all might understand, underlines that statement with depravity and character, singles out aspects of human behavior that might shock but always remains honest. Humanity has many aspects and not all of them are good, brave or Hollywood-sy.

Schaffer starts his newest rollercoaster by starting in the highest gears, like you are jumping in on the way down and he will not let up until you are just mesmerized and confused about all the hints, messages and subliminals he is sending out in a never-ending sequence.

Boybands, model-scene, entertainment industry, Paris Hilton, celeb-status, talent-agents, corruption, actors and actresses… all get their moment of glory&gore, their moment of decapitation or maiming!

Expect two insane and bored super-models who will get away with anything and everything.

Need I say more?

About the Author

Richard is the driving force behind Comics for Sinners. His love and admiration for female comic book characters is virtually unparalleled, which immediately explains his biggest 'sin': his Hot Mummy fetish. This sketchbook theme is philogynistic in nature and even the source of his WIP comic book series "The Sisterhood".
