Start Up “The Light Of Dawn”

lightofdawnA blast from the past… There was a Kickstarter for a very promising graphic novel (click here). It was about a supernatural police procedural,. The art and premise looked very interesting for sure!

Dawn Sullivan is an eighteen year old mage who has always dreamed of following in the footsteps of her father Elijah, a master mage himself who is also a renowned private investigator. Realizing that his daughter’s never going to give that dream up anytime soon, he officially takes her under his wing as his partner.

In this 48 page graphic novel, Dawn and Elijah work to solve the murder of Emma Stevens, a post-grad student who was found dead in her apartment. Throughout this arc, Dawn will also explore the depths of her abilities as they relate to solving cases but Elijah is always there to make sure those abilities don’t go too far. As a master mage, he is well aware of the potential darkness their abilities have and will be constantly keeping watch of Dawn to make sure she doesn’t cross that line.

With your help, we can bring this project to life. All funds raised will go directly towards production costs (paying the artist and letterer) of the graphic novel, and any in excess of our funding goal will go towards marketing, and publishing, the book on various eBook outlets. For the foreseeable future, this will be the ONLY time a print version of this is available. We’ve got a range of rewards available on the side of the page, in a variety of pledge ranges, so be sure to take a look.

The Kickstarter failed but the creators want to try a NEW venue if a certain Facebook-posts get enough hits! So hit ’em up!
